The start of something new...

Ok, so here goes nothing...

Until recently, I had not once thought that I'd write a blog. Mainly, because I never thought I had anything to write. But, I recently set myself a challenge and thought this would be the ideal time to write down my thoughts. So, what is the challenge?
On 5 April 2013, I will be getting married to my beautiful girl, Gaynor.



No, that's not the challenge. The challenge is to be in the best shape of my life for the wedding day and in order to do this, I'm setting myself a bunch of monthly tasks with the first one already on it's way.

For the April 2012 part of my challenge, I have set myself three tasks:
1. The only thing that I'm allowed to drink is water.
2. I am not allowed to eat any processed sugar.
3. I must exercise at least 6 times a week.

In the past, I've tried to regularly exercise and eat healthy, however I've always failed - mainly due to losing interest or finding "something better to do". So, that's where the blog comes in. I'm going to utilise this forum to keep track of my progress throughout the challenge, to ensure that I'm staying on track as far as completing my tasks goes and to ensure that I'm getting somewhere by completing the challenge. Because, the whole point of this is losing weight, getting fit and feeling good about myself!

I'll be updating this blog regularly to let the readers (if any) know how I'm going and what steps I'm taking to complete my tasks. I might look to also incorporate my exercise regime as well as any dietary intake. I'm always looking for feedback and comments, so anything that you have to add would be greatly appreciated!

  1. So 19 days in. How are you going? You were sick for a while right, I hope it didn't throw you off track too much. Would love to read an update soon! Keep at it- it'll be so worth it when your wedding day rolls round and you look and feel awesome :)
